We have a diverse and eclectic staff we’d like our friends and followers to meet! So, in the upcoming weeks, we will introduce them to YOU! They’re more than just a name and a face!

Where are you from?

“Originally from Central Pennsylvania and upstate New York. Moved here 50 years ago and haven’t gone back since. Spent 4 1/2 years in US Army during the Vietnam era. Stationed in Thailand for a year with only a couple quick trips to Vietnam (shear luck).  Assigned to the Signal Corp Research & Development Center after that.”

What do you do for fun?

“We travel and spend a lot of time with friends going to movies and dinner.”

What is your favorite movie?

“Probably LeMans with Steve McQueen but, so many other good ones.”

What is your favorite restaurant?

“Alexi’s Grill on Central Ave.”

What is your favorite favorite food?

“Definitely Thai. I could live on it!”

Who is your favorite sport/team?

“I’m not a big sports fan, but I enjoy watching basketball.”

Who is your favorite architect?

“I am a big fan of lots of them, but Luis Barragan probably tops the list for his use of form and light even more than his use of color.”

What is your favorite quote?

“Just Do It. Also, Barragan says, ‘Any work of architecture that does not express serenity is a mistake.'”

What is your favorite place to travel?

“Of all the many places we have gone, South Africa probably tops the list.”

What is your favorite part of the job?

“First time home buyers.”

What is the funniest thing that has happened to in your real estate career?

“This was actually a story of my wife  [who is also an agent].  While showing properties, she rang the doorbell and the owner opened with his dog in his arms.  She said, ‘Hi, we’re here to look at the property.’ He stepped aside and took her clients all through the home, and as they were leaving, she said, ‘Thank you, we will let you know shortly. We have several more homes to see before they make a decision.’ He responded, ‘But, but…I don’t want to sell my house. I like it here.’ Turns out that she was on the wrong street with the identical house number.

Interesting side note (to me, at least)

“One of my side businesses was Mach Two Flight Services, a company offering flight testing services to manufacturers of electronic warfare equipment and military munitions using my own fleet of supersonic jet fighters.”
