Description

Welcome to Casa De Luz, The House of Light. Originally designed in 1962 by Charles and Arthur Schreiber. Casa De Luz was defined and recently rejuvenated by nationally acclaimed award winning designer Jeffrey Rausch.

Defined as The House of Light for its walls of windows, interior glass doors, and upper perimeter clerestory windows. The East floor to ceiling windows capture incredible views of Camelback, minimalist xeriscape, and the lush desert landscape from every room. Clerestory windows illuminate the home with unique natural light patterns each hour from sun up to sun down.

Casa De Luz has been completely remodeled. Thankfully much of the original design is still evident. The home features use or “Marvel” slump block, one of the earliest examples of this type of block now indigenous to the Valley. Gore design concrete counters in the kitchen and bath.

A nice example of typical Mid-century Modern custom home construction typical in the area from 1955-1965.
