Description

Atop one of the Highest View Sites on Camelback Mountain, this Architectural home was designed by Paul Christian Yeager. Nestled in a granite boulder-scape, the East face views are panoramic. The original detailing and plan of the home was wonderfully intact as of 2013.

Featuring a loft/office, generous master suite and guest bedroom in the main house, there is also a large pantry store-room and oversized kitchen. This was home to Valley modernist Painter Dorothy Fratt, who’s work remains a sought-after expression of form and color. The Attached Artist studio is a perfectly lighted space, which also sports an additional bedroom and full bath.

The interiors include a soaring vaulted ceiling and exposed natural site quarried stone walls. Millwork and details are an unspoiled architectural expression that reflects the Modern Organic ethic of this creative Architect.

About the Architect: This talented Mid-Century Modernist left the Valley with a rich legacy of homes that reflect his Taliesin inspired design ethic, yet retain a true personal style that was revered locally by the likes of Barry Goldwater, who selected Yaeger to design his personal residence. Few unspoiled examples of his remain.
